About ECI Surveys

Zayla Partners, a Gallagher Company purchased Effective Compensation, Inc. (known as ECI Surveys to the energy industry) in January of 2024.  Zayla has continued the ECI legacy, maintaining strictly controlled data to maximize quality and relevance for the energy industry with 71 participants in 2025 despite jumps in energy acquisitions. We look forward to celebrating our 30th year in energy compensation data.

Effective Compensation, Inc.

Founded in 1996, Effective Compensation, Inc. (ECI) has been conducting compensation surveys for the energy industry for 30 years. The Oil and Gas E&P Compensation Survey has been honed and developed over those years into the gold standard of quality compensation data and analytics. Year number 30 brings a new all-in-one survey with sector specific deliverables. Companies engaged in operations across multiple energy segments (E&P, Midstream, OFS) can now participate in one survey and receive compensation and benefits data specific to each.

One Survey, Sector Specific Deliverables

Participation is subject to approval. Submit your application through our inquiry form. Credentials will be sent to participants prior to the survey opening date. Sector specific deliverables will be delivered in mid-August.

Midstream

Companies engaged in processing, storing, transporting and marketing oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Must have US operations and employees.
